OVERVIEW
The Dolby® Digital Cinema system offers superb picture
quality, simplified operation, and outstanding
reliability, plus the highest level of security in the
business. To make sure your transition to digital runs
smoothly, it incorporates the open standards being
established by Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) and is
easy to integrate with your existing automation and
sound systems.
The Dolby® Digital Cinema system has been engineered
from the ground up for real-world projection booths. It
is reliable, built to last, and has the flexibility to
adapt to meet your needs in the years to come. It has
been created with the same foresight and approach to
quality that we have always used for our cinema audio
processors, many of which have outlived the cinemas that
originally housed them.
At the core of this new system are the Dolby Show Store
and Dolby Show Player units, which together provide
everything you need to load, store, decode, and deliver
pristine digital movies to your digital cinema
projector. The accompanying Dolby Show Manager software
application provides complete operational control too,
and enables you to perform advanced scheduling either
locally or remotely.

The Dolby Digital Cinema presentation system has been
created specifically for the unique environment of the
projection booth to provide features that deliver
perfect digital shows, time after time. This means clear
controls for your projectionist, powerful scheduling for
your manager, and robust engineering that makes sense to
your technicians. The system's modularity allows you to
install Dolby Show Player where it's most convenient to
operate. Separating the storage and decoding components
also lets you expand and upgrade specific capabilities
without having to replace the complete system.
Strong Security
The Dolby Digital Cinema System includes DCI's specified
128-bit encryption. Image and sound content enters the
system encrypted and leaves that way. In the Dolby Show
Player, the decrypted signal is physically isolated from
exposed surfaces, protecting it from unauthorized
access. Additionally, any attempt at physical intrusion
will render the unit unusable, further preventing piracy
of protected movie data.
Service and Support
The strongest technical support in the business comes
standard with every Dolby product. Dolby offers a wide range of support services and
tools to ensure the best possible quality of
presentation, including easily accessible online and
telephone technical support. Dolby also regularly conduct
training seminars to teach service and installation
